Happy Thursday Everyone!!

And do you know what that means? It is time for our #thursdayrareteamintroductions

How about today we introduce you to our Co-Owner and Coach Adam. Here's a quick look at this great guy!

We asked her the following 12 questions.

1. What is your Favorite WOD? "Diane"

21-15-9 Reps For Time

Deadlift (225/155 lb)

Handstand Push-Ups

2. What is your least Favorite WOD? "Bell"

3 Rounds for Time

21 Deadlifts (185/135 lb)

15 Pull-Ups

9 Front Squats (185/135 lb)

3. If you could be a superhero who would it be and why? Thor - God of Thunder. He cares, wants the best for everyone, and he’s flat out awesome.

4. Kill Cliff, Fit Aid, or I just drink whatever I can do recover? Love Orange Kill Clif, however, my recovery drink after every workout is 12 ounces of water mixed with SFH Strong, SFH Recover, and a scoop of Green Vibrance.

5. Why did you want to become a CrossFit Coach? Fitness changed my life many years ago. It gave me the confidence to believe in myself and to believe I could accomplish anything. CrossFit saved me from being an injured runner to being in the best shape of my life. I wanted to combine my love of injecting confidence in people with the best fitness program out there to help people achieve whatever they thought possible.

6. Biggest accomplishment as a CrossFit athlete to this date? Finished the BEAST Ultra Marathon Series in 2010 which included three 50 K’s, a 54 miler, a 100 K and a 103 miler. All of my training consisted of doing CrossFit 5x per week and only running 3x per week with a total mileage of 12 miles per week. I finished 20th in the Grindstone 100 out of more than 120 starters.

7. Most humbling point of your CrossFit journey as of today? First CrossFit competition I did was the first Superfit at CrossFit Charlottesville a very long time ago. There were 50 males who competed and I finished last. However, I did manage to PR my deadlift at that competition and in the final workout, I placed 3rd, beating out some future CrossFit Games Athletes who were competing that day. There is always a silver lining and it matters how you look at things. Mindset is key.

8. What is a surprising talent most people don’t know about you? I am a great bowler. As a teenager, I had a 200 average and thought about going professional.

9. Reebok, Nike or I just like to buy shoes? And then best pair of shoes you have owned and why. I love the Nano 2.0, however, I just bought a pair of No Bull’s and these are my favorite. They fit very well, you feel balanced lifting heavy and doing olympic lifts and they feel good running in them.

10. Fav cheat meal food. I love Mellow Mushrooms “Mighty Meaty” pizza.

11. Paleo, Zone, or I just eat what is put in front of me? Zone

12. If you could go back to the start of your CrossFit journey what would you tell yourself? Honor the struggle. When the door of opportunity knocks, hard work is waiting for you.

How cool is this guy?!?! I bet not everyone even knew we had a co-owner and coach who is a great bowler, used to run 100-mile ultramarathons and CrossFit saved his running career! #crossfitsavedme #stayhumblegrindhard !! We love having you as a Co-Owner of RARE and one of our coaches! Come on by and say hi to Adam... maybe even join him for a 5 pm class on Monday and Wednesday or his 10 am class on Wednesday!
