How about today we introduce you to Coach Joy. Here's a quick look at this great lady!

3.     If you could be a superhero who would it be and why?

Wonder Woman - She was just the “average” person but had super powers and could kick any man's ass!

4.     Kill Cliff, Fit Aid, or I just drink whatever I can do recover?

5.     Why did you want to become a CrossFit Coach?

I know what Crossfit has done for mentally and physically and I want to make sure others get that same satisfaction. I love helping people.

6.     Biggest accomplishment as a CrossFit athlete to this date?

3rd place Festivus Women’s Masters

7.     Most humbling point of your CrossFit journey as of today?

Gymnastics. It’s a reality check of what I need to work on whenever they are in a workout. Got a handstand once but need to be more consistent. Working on TTB then pull up. Really really close on TTB.

8.     What is a surprising talent most people don’t know about you?

Yikes!  I don’t think I have a surprising talent. Most people are surprised at my heart because I can come off as a no bs-er.

9.     Reebok, Nike or I just like to buy shoes? And then the best pair of shoes you have owned and why. 

Reebok Nano 2. Just love the way they feel.

10.  Fav cheat meal food. 

Mexican anything

11.  Paleo, Zone, or I just eat what is put in front of me?

Try to follow Whole30 85% of the time.

12.  If you could go back to the start of your CrossFit journey what would you tell yourself?

Have no fear and be consistent. When I first started 3 years ago I was not consistent. I allowed anything to be my excuse. Don’t be afraid to try the gymnastics. I psyched myself out early on that I couldn’t do it. 

How cool is this lady?!?! 😆👍💪 I bet everyone knew Joy had a big heart, but some might not have known she was a NO bs-er who loves teaching people! #stayhumblegrindhard!!

Thursday 5 April

Rest/Active Recovery Day

 

-Do 10 minutes of active warmup; Inchworm, wall walks, double under work, 200-400m run

-Do Crossover Symmetry for 15 minutes.

-Pick a skill and work on it for 15 minutes. Work on exposed skill from the open.

-Do mobility for 15 minutes: 5 minutes light rowing/bike, 5 minutes of foam rolling, and 5 minutes of band work. 

*if you just completed the 55 minute cycle this is a active recovery day.
