Tough Mudder 2011
Challenge Yourself
Pushing yourself to your own limits and capabilities can have a huge impact on your life. You will discover that you are capable of things you thought were unachievable and find along the way, changes within yourself that dramatically improve your fitness level and life. Last Sunday I heard a few people say that the Tough Mudder was the toughest physical challenge they had ever attempted and/or completed. Imaging how good they felt at the end of the day when they crossed the finish line. From my past experience the more difficult something is, the better you feel about yourself once you get through it. I think back to challenges from the past that were very difficult or maybe at the time I was unable to complete. Now those same challenges aren’t difficult at all and I have new challenges in front of me. Pushing your limits helps you to build confidence and grow as a person. Try to find new ways to push your limits and challenge yourself everyday and you might be surprised what you are able to accomplish.

Looking for daily inspirational quotes to get moving along and changing. Found these two today and thought I would share.
Robby… I put up a quote weekly (on Fridays) on my site, http://www.stronger2day.com. There are about 40 up there now.
When I’m doing double unders and I’m experiencing any level of success my mind will start to wander and I think about all of the complex calculations required to make a double under – or jumping rope in general – successful. That’s usually about the time I mess up (or when I do the same when I am running, when I trip and fall down). But here’s an explanation for a piece of the puzzle at least: http://news.sciencemag.org/sciencenow/2011/11/jumping-rope-by-the-numbers.html
With Al, Phil and me in the box tonight, Casey brought the average age down into the 40′s (and added some class too). I was hoping for something other than an AMRAP so I could hustle through the workout and take advantage of the early bird special at Ryan Steakhouse. I ended up sweating so much that I had to take off my bifocals halfway through the workout. Fortunately, my dentures held even though I was grinding my teeth for much of the WOD. I’m feeling better now after a bowl of soup and am catching up on the latest developments on the weather channel. Oh, look at the time, it’s getting late…

Another entertaining evening at RARE, 5 rounds + 5 burpees.
Did this in the hotel gym with dumbbells. Almost 4 rounds. Suckered a couple of classmates into the workout.
