Here it is…the BIG Day is coming up at RARE!

The details for Saturday, 9/15 at RARE:
-8:30am – 9:00am: Athlete Check in & Measurements
-9:15-9:30am: Pre-Game Huddle & Athlete Briefing
-9:45am: 10:45am – WLC Prelim Work Out
-11:00pm: First Weekly Challenges Announced

You have 4 days left to get you, your friends & family registered at www.wholelifechallenge.com

One of the best things about the Whole Life Challenge (WLC) is that anyone can do it. Regardless if you travel a lot and have a busy schedule, or you’re an avid CrossFitter, you can still do the WLC and challenge yourself for 8 weeks to help improve your health and lifestyle. But remember, it’s not about getting a perfect score, what’s most important is why you’re doing it. To have that particular reason goes far, just like our fitness goals.

Goals are what fuel us to go that extra yard. So, what’s fueling me to do to the WLC? Simple – I want to help RARE make this Challenge the Best Ever and be a positive example to my fellow RARE Athletes and RARE Coaches. While this includes crushing the Prelims and Finals, what is most important to me is that I want to help you guys. Talk the talk and walk the walk? There’s really no other way to propel yourself and our Community forward than to BE the change we seek to influence.

So here is a little challenge for you RARE Athletes: post to either the comments section or the Facebook page, your reason for doing the Challenge. It doesn’t need to be big or small or anything in between, just something to help you get through these 8 AWESOME weeks of fun. Like I said, these goals are important, so take some time to think about yours. That said, see you all Saturday, September 15th!

I am Very competitive (just ask my family) but, I let “stuff” get in the way of success. With this challenge I will be forced to really look at why I say, chose a coke that day. I don’t really take the time now to examine it and I would like to really see what some of (probably more than I am willing to admit) my triggers are. I am not willing to loose a point a day for a coke.

I don’t have a competitive bone in my body, but as an extrovert, I will take advantage of the community support during the challenge (and hope to provide support as well). I’m motivated by doing the challenge with fellow athletes and I’m super excited about getting an extra WOD a week in at RARE.

Trail run this weekend? Sunday? Quarry? 7:00? How many questions can I ask?

  4. Al says:

Jane, this would be a good weekend for a quarry run — weather will be fine and it’s getting time for fall training runs. That said, we have a yard sale planned for Sat/Sun, and the Head Yard Salesman will be tied up. Mike, Hud…you guys up for making sure Jane does not get lost?

Rumor has it that GoodGood food will be represented at the run…and Tim Taft… BJ? Lou? Rebecca? 7:30 is an option if it is more reasonable than 7:00. I’d like to get about 2 hours in….
