RARE at SuperFit 2012

A Super RARE Time

Congrats to all the RARE Team competitors and thank you to the RARE Support Crew!

This past weekend proved to be very eventful for both athletes and support crew at the third annual SuperFit Games. We had a great turn out on Saturday. I think half of the box showed up to give moral support and cheer on our RARE team. All of our athletes did awesome, representing well in all of the workouts. Tough Mudder 2011

Challenge Yourself

Pushing yourself to your own limits and capabilities can have a huge impact on your life. You will discover that you are capable of things you thought were unachievable and find along the way, changes within yourself that dramatically improve your fitness level and life. Last Sunday I heard a few people say that the Tough Mudder was the toughest physical challenge they had ever attempted and/or completed. Imaging how good they felt at the end of the day when they crossed the finish line. From my past experience the more difficult something is, the better you feel about yourself once you get through it. I think back to challenges from the past that were very difficult or maybe at the time I was unable to complete. Now those same challenges aren’t difficult at all and I have new challenges in front of me. Pushing your limits helps you to build confidence and grow as a person. Try to find new ways to push your limits and challenge yourself everyday and you might be surprised what you are able to accomplish.

“Beef A King Fit” Challenge

The First Annual “BEEF A KING FIT” Challenge!
On Saturday, August 11th, RARE CrossFit will be holding its first ever CrossFit Games style competition. The challenge will be open to the first 100 registered participants. REGISTER HERE

What is it?
The BEEF A KING FIT Challenge is a compilation of workouts inspired by the CrossFit Games. We are testing work capacity and skills in order to find the fittest, most well-rounded local athletes! We WILL test your Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibilty, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.

Games Format:
The challenge will incorporate exercises and modalities that will cover the full spectrum of athleticism. All workouts can be scaled to any level athlete. We will only disclose the first event 1 hour prior to the start of the competition. Please expect to perform multiple workouts within any given time frame. We will hold a final event for the top 5 male and top 5 female finishers in the regular events.
