Description:

The primary duties of this position involve the supervision and execution of the daily operation of the gym, to include coaching, programming, events, management of the membership roster, and staff leadership.

 

Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for daily operation of the Gym including coaching, programming, events, operations management, and other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Regularly meets with Owners to plan and discuss updates on community, growth, and development.

Maintains and monitors staffing, expectations, and motivation to fulfill organizational requirements.

Drives performance measures for the affiliate and reports to the leadership team.

Ensures professionalism and excellence throughout coaching staff.

Meets weekly with coaches and staff to discuss week’s events, any significant changes, feedback, class structure, injuries, and membership changes.

Assist in the hiring process, trains, and develops new coaches.

Responsible for the direction, publishing, and execution of the programming.

Helps determine appropriate rewards and coaching practices to align coaches and employees with affiliate mission and goals.

Fulfill opening/closing gym responsibilities.

Manage the gym’s membership roster.

Answer phones, manage email accounts, and inform prospective members.

Respond to all phone and email inquiries in a timely manner.

Responsible for attending to and rectifying membership issues via phone, email, and in person.

Encourage participation in community events.

Assist in organization and execution of community events.

Communicate class feedback and findings to owners for further business improvement.

Execute Facebook and Instagram marketing initiatives.

Be an ambassador of RARE at all times.

 

Requirements:

At least one current certification from an accredited organization.

CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate (Level 2 Coaches Course added bonus)

An Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Exercise Science, or related field a plus.

Additional certifications and trainings such as Olympic lifting, Endurance, Kettlebell, Personal Training or other health and fitness certifications are a benefit for this position.

Current CPR and First Aid.

This is a FULL-TIME position so the applicant needs to be able to commit, devote, and dedicate a minimum of 40 hours. This includes working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Benefits:

Compensation for the right applicant will range from $30,000-40,000 per year based on experience, skill set, and work ethic.

Opportunity for growth and increased salary directly correlated to the growth of the community. Opportunity to earn $60,000 + per year.

Personal Trainer/Performance Coach for RARE CrossFit!

RARE Crossfit in Fredericksburg, VA, is always looking for great team members.

We are always searching for highly motivated, professional, responsible, certified, and experienced full-time Performance Coach/ Personal Trainers to work with high-level athletes, everyday fitness enthusiasts, and teach small group and large group classes.

 

We are looking to hire a full-time Coach.

 

Our new team member should be extremely friendly, positive, upbeat, energetic and have great communication skills. This person needs to be passionate about exercise & conditioning and about working with people from all walks of life, including athletes of all ages. They must be a humble badass and a team player committed to the mission to motivate, educate, and inspire people to be their best. This person must have passion for learning and must be coachable, value mentorship and the people around them.

 

Position Responsibilities:

Coach minimum 15 classes per week.

Responsible for the direction, publishing, and execution of the programming.

Responsible for equipment upkeep and maintenance.

Meets with Owners weekly for expectations and follow-up.

Meets weekly with coaches and staff to discuss week’s programming, feedback, and equipment updates/maintenance.

Assist in training and developing new coaches.

Helps determine best coaching practices to align coaches and employees with affiliate mission and goals.

Fulfill opening/closing gym responsibilities.

Maintain a membership roster.

Be an ambassador of RARE at all times.

 

Requirements:

At least one current certification from an accredited organization.

CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate (Level 2 Coaches Course added bonus)

CSCS a plus from the National Strength & Conditioning Association.

Current CPR, First Aid, and AED.

Minimum two years of experience, preferably with athletes.

This is a FULL-TIME position so the applicant needs to be able to commit, devote, and dedicate 30 - 40 hours. This includes working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Personality that is outgoing, upbeat, positive, confident, and motivating.

 

Qualifications:

Must be passionate about health, fitness, sports, wellness, and changing lives!

A bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or related field a plus.

Must have minimum two years experience working with athletes and kids of all age ages & levels.

Experience in training/coaching football, baseball, volleyball a plus.

Olympic lifting, Kettlebell, FMS, Nutrition, and other related sports training certifications a plus for this position.

Ability to train privately and in large groups.

Must want to work with athletes of all ages.

Possess honesty, integrity, a positive attitude, ethical, and high-energy.
