60 Day Holiday Challenge

The RARE “60 Day Holiday Challenge”.  Monday, November 28 through January 26, 2012.

Stay consistent with us through the holidays with our awesome Community Challenge!!! Anyone and everyone can do it…so…what are you waiting for?

Here’s how the 60 Day Holiday Challenge works:
You perform 1 rep of your chosen movement on the first day; Monday, November 28, then 2 reps on the second day, Tuesday, November 29 (not so bad, right?), and keep going up one rep each day until you reach the 60 rep mark on Thursday, January 26. On Thursday, January 26 we’ll all do the 60 reps of the movements at each class so we can finish together, as a Community.

There will be 3 divisions to buy into the challenge:
A)”All Stars”-Squats
B)”Rock Star”-Burpees
C)”Super Star”-Handstand Push Ups

The reps can be performed anywhere you want, and can be divided up through out the day in as many partitions as needed (5 reps in the AM, 10 reps at noon, etc). At home, on vacation, with the In-Laws…whenever!

If you miss a day, you will have to make up the reps the next day in addition to the reps you have for that day…so don’t miss…the goal is to stay consistent!

This Challenge is open to anyone in the world. Friends and family are welcome to join in and be a part of the ‘fun’ with you, and see why CrossFitters stick to our fitness goals more than any other type of fitness program!

The RARE “60 Day Holiday Challenge” starts Monday, November 28 through January 26…anywhere in the USA!

This is my least favorite exercise in the WORLD. See everyone tonight! I think I am going to go with the “Rock-Star” Burpees for this one lol

Oh…it’s a good thing I haven’t done overhead squats in a while, huh Coach Adam? Can’t wait to do this one!

Low weight but I felt so good! I loved this workout!!!!

  4. Todd says:

Good job Maggie and to the largest 5 am class that I have seen since it has started. Now how come I have to do all three movements of this challenge? Not that I am complaining, but just wondering lol? 60 burpees and handstands will be hell especially after the weekend of fight gone bad.

It was great working out with you tonight. By round 10, I was starting to feel the pressure. I certainly didn’t want to dump the bar during the round and have to start over. Thanks for keeping the pace. I was glad I stuck with 65#, but my wrists aren’t thanking me one bit.

Great job to all who conquered this Wod. I know it is one of Coach Rise’s favorites, but certainly not mine. I would much prefer a good double under work-out any day :)

  10. Drew says:

I’m with Todd on the triple threat it is going to be rough, especially the handstand push-ups. 10:03 @95lbs.

Congrats to Brad on achieving one of his 2011 goals… the muscle-up! So glad you finally “decided” to do this one. Great Work!

  12. Brad B. says:

Thanks Rise. Now to duplicate it. 14:00 @ 65lbs for the OH squats. Finally starting to feel more comfortable withh this movement. Almost time to start increasing the weight.

  13. Casey says:

17:09 @ 115lbs, legs were wobbly when it was over
